Travel to Elk City, Oklahoma - 10/21/14

Tuesday, we were up early and on the road by 7:00 am, in route to Rolling Retreats RV Sales & Service in
Elk City, OK.   We have a few minor things for them to fix on our new RV as well as change out the awning.

We arrived approx. 1:00 pm.  Slade was getting a new RV ready for customer pick up today, as well as had other customers waiting for him to do things.  It was quite the busy place.  He told us that he had just recently discovered that the wrong awning was shipped to him so he got on the phone and has another one on its way.

Looks like we are going to be here several days.  Slade told Bob he was swamped with customers picking up new rigs as well as others having other things done and that he probably wouldn't even do anything to our RV until late Wednesday.

He told us where we could park our rig, hook up to electricity, and told us to make ourselves at home.

We got a email from Alicia inviting us to late breakfast on Wednesday morning along with three other couples that are here.  We went along with the group and had a delicious breakfast...Thanks Alicia!  Late Wednesday afternoon Slade & his helper came to our RV and took care of all the interior things on our list.  He told us that the paint shop wanted our RV at their shop by 8:30 am Thursday.

Thursday morning we had our 5th Wheel RV hooked up to the truck and delivered it to a paint shop that Slade uses.

Late Thursday afternoon Slade got a call from the paint shop telling him that our RV was not finished and that they would have to keep it there and finish up Friday.  Alicia made arrangements at a local hotel for us to go to Thursday night.

The paint shop had our RV there all day Friday until they called around 4:00 pm so we went and picked it up.  We took it back to Rolling Retreats as there is still some things for Slade to work on before we leave out.

We have continued to stay at Rolling Retreats over the weekend.

This week we have eaten at Simon's Catch (all you can eat catfish) and at Billy Simms BBQ.   We've been tot both restaurants previously and had to go back again since we are here.  One thing that is common of RV'rs is that we all tend to enjoy eating out at the "good restaurants".

Have a good day!
