We followed a trail to the first rocky bank and then had to wade across to get to the other side. Bob had already warned me that the water could go over my boots so I didn't wear boots...they are in Bob's backpack. I was wet knees down to my feet.
We walked on the trail close to the river bank until we got to a place that looked good to Bob to fish. We spread out from each other while we fished. Jesse got the first fish...a nice size salmon (but was too red from not being in the salt water) so he released it. A while later Jesse scored again, but again was not a keeper.
Bob caught a king salmon that was good to keep, not real big though.
We moved several times up and down the river and across the river. It was raining lightly for quite a while. We quit fishing around 2:00. Ending score was Jesse 2 caught/0 keepers, Bob 4 caught/1 keeper and
Janet 0 caught/0 keeper.
Bob had already gutted the fish so
the salmon looks kind of gross.
"That's our fishing story....and we're sticking to it."
Ginger was the cook tonight, so we went to their RV at 5:30. She cooked pan seared bacon wrapped turkey minions, cooked seasoned carrots, dressing, gravy, corn casserole, and cranberry sauce...all delicious!!
Have a good day!!!

You should have been with the family we talked to yesterday. We were near the fish hatchery in Valdez where is appears to be a lot of good fishing. Two boys and their parents were walking out. The older boy (looked to be around 9 or 10) said to us, "Hey, I caught my LIMIT of 8". This little brother (about 5) piped up and said "No, you caught 10". Guess the little one doesn't understand the limit thing! No, game warden within hearing, I guess.
