We happened to be pulling out of our campsite with Jesse & Ginger, when Bob spotted Chuck, Kathy and their teen grandson in their truck. We talked to them and they were headed to the Alaska SeaLife Center also. A picture was taken of all of us, and then everyone went on their our own way looking at all the displays.
The displays were set up more for children. There were huge aquariums filled with different species of fish. .
The also had a interesting display of star fish, or I was corrected that they should not be called star fish because they are not fish; that they should be referred to as sea stars. I didn't realize that there were so many types.
There was also a display of jelly fish; but, again, they are suppose to be referred to a sea jellies (because they are not fish).

There were lots more interesting displays, movies, & aquariums set up. It was a nice museum.
After finishing looking at the sealife museum, we walked most of the downtown street which is mainly restaurants, gift shops, etc. and did a little shopping. Seward was named the "Mural Capital of Alaska" in 2008 by Gov. Sarah Palin. Seward is also known as "The Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park". It was voted an "All-American City" for the third time in 2005.
We also went to the Seward Community Library and Museum as we read the museum had some exhibits on the Great Earthquake of 1964. Admission was $5.00/per adult. We sat down and watched the movie that was local's stories about that devastating Good Friday in 1964. Twelve people lost their live's in Seward. Other than the movie, there was a small section of the museum dedicated to the earthquake.
After returning to the campground, we all met at our RV to eat left-over chicken taco's with all the toppings as we were all hungry. It was quite a bit early for dinner as it was mid-afternoon. We were sitting around visiting after our meal, and we watched a cruise ship that had gone and parked at the Seward Boat Harbor sometime during the night last night. It was slowly leaving the boat harbor and Resurrection Bay. In fact, it had to back quite a ways until it could get in a part of the bay where it could turn around.
The picture below was taken directly in front of where we are camped. It made for a nice view out our Living Room window.
We all went to the Hardware Store later and then we walked across the street to the harbor to see what the fisherman were bringing in. Today was a cloudy, overcast, windy, almost bone chilling day here in Seward...quite the opposite of yesterday's sun shining, perfect weather. We are going to stay a third night in Seward. We have a day trip planned for tomorrow.
Hope your day is sunnier that our's was here in Seward.
