Day 7 - Travel from Gainesville, FL to Orlando, FL

This morning we must have been excited to get to Disney World because we were all ready to leave an hour before we planned on leaving.  We only had a two hour drive this morning. Surprisingly, the traffic didn't seem near as congested as we thought it would be.

You could feel the excitement in the truck when we saw the Disney World signs.  The kids were grinning from ear to ear.
.

We located Fort Wilderness Campground, checked in, and was set up on our site by noon.  Bob, Terryn & Kolton took off for a walk to explore the surroundings while I stayed back and got the inside of our Mobile Suite organized.  They soon were back and we fixed some lunch.

After lunch, we all got ready and took off to get on a bus to go to Disney Downtown.  We didn't want to use our Park Tickets since we got here mid-day, so we figured it would be a good day to check out Disney Downtown.

We walked around and went through several shops and took several pictures.  The kids had money burning in their pocket, so each of them made a purchase.

It was getting around 6:15 pm so we headed to the bus station in order to get back to the campground in time for the campfire & marshmallow roast, Chip & Dale the Chipmunks, music and entertainment, and a movie under the stars.

Terryn & Kolton even participated in the Chicken Dance and Hokey Pokey.

It was 9:30 or so when we got back to our camper.  We scrambled to get showers & get to bed....tomorrow we go to the Magic Kingdom and plan to get up early in hopes of beating the heat.

Today was not too hot due to the sky was overcast most of the day; hope the weather remains the same for the rest of our visit to Disney World.
