Day 84 of Our RV Journey to Canada & Alaska - 8/04/14 Traveling from American Falls OR to Rawlins WY

This morning we were on the road at 8:20.  The guys had to drive in sprinkles & rain a good part of our trip.
Today we traveled in the states of Idaho, Utah, & Wyoming.  Somehow we got off course from each other, but we all ended up at the same destination.  Total Miles Traveled Today = 398 miles.

We saw three antelope in Wyoming.

I took a few pictures along our route today:

This is the historical Paris Tabernacle located in Paris, Idaho.
It was a Morman tabernacle  In 1889, this Romanesque Mormon tabernacle was constructed of red sandstone that had to be transported by wagon or sled from a quarry 18 miles away.  Designed by Joseph Young, the Gothic style church was constructed by the town’s first Mormon settlers over the course of five years.

Bob & I arrived at RV World Campground around 4:00 pm.  Jesse & Ginger were already checked in and set up when we arrived.  ($31.10/night w/ Good Sam Disc. - 50 amp Full HU, cable, WiFi)

We entered a new state, UTAH, today!!!

Bob did the honors of adding Utah to our RV Travel Map.

Since this was our last meal together on this RV journey we went to Captain Jack's BBQ for dinner.  We are all  headed to Mountaindale tomorrow near Colorado Springs, which is where Jesse & Ginger normally workcamp during the spring/summer season.  We have 3 nights reserved in this campground and look forward to visiting some of our RV friends.  We will miss Jesse & Ginger but we all plan to winter in Texas at the same RV park.

Have a great rest of the day!!!

  1. When we came home in the spring, there were many dead deer and antelope along the highway killed over the winter.

Also, we were warned of the very strong wind gusts around Rawlins, so please remind "lead-foot" Bob to be careful!!

    Hugs, TnT
