Day 13 of Our RV Journey to Canada & Alaska - 5/25/14 (Road trip on the Smith Dorrien Spray Trail and On to Banff National Park)

We decided to stay in the Spring Creek Mountain Village RV park for one more night so that we can do some sightseeing.  So, this morning we all piled in Jesse's truck to go on a "road trip".  We went on the Smith Dorrien Spray Trail which is a scenic loop up through the mountains.  We were told that we should see lots of wildlife and amazing scenery and it would take approx. 3 hours to do it,  It is absolutely stunning here; Bob and I both think this is the most beautiful mountain area that we have been to yet.  The highest elevation we went to on our trip tody was 6,175 feet.

We were gone most all day and we took a lot of pictures.  We saw Columbia ground squirrels,  loons, bighorn sheep, mule deer, whitetail deer, snow shoe hare, moose (I spotted), 2 bear far away on a mountain side, and elk.

I have lots of pics to post; and I just chose the good ones.

Don't you agree that this area of Canada is beautiful??  Have a safe & happy Memorial Day!!!
