This morning we got up early and left Waubonsie State Park at 7:00 since today's travels are going to be longer than yesterday's. Today's destination is Sydney NE and we arrived there at approx 2:20. We are now in the Mountain Time Zone. We stopped at North Platte NE (about 2 hours before getting to Sydney) to fuel up and have lunch. ($3.98/gal diesel x 33.425 gal = $133.00 Ch)
Today, we met up with our traveling companions & good friends, Jesse & Ginger Haman, that are going to be traveling with us on the Canada & Alaska journey. They left Colorado Springs area this morning and arrived at the Cabela's Campground (full hookup site @ $31.06 Cb) about a half hour before we got there. It was good to see and visit with them again as we haven't seen them since we departed in different directions after going to Elk City OK the end of March.
Oh, and today we get to put the state sticker "Nebraska" on our RV Travel Map. (I'm like a little kid when I get to add another sticker to our map.)
After setting up our camper on our site, we visited with Ginger & Jesse. Later, we went out for dinner and then went to Cabela's World Headquarters and looked around for awhile.
