Day 36 of Our RV Journey to Canada & Alaska - 6/17/14 Visit Denali Visitor Center & Go to Shops in Denali

This morning we all left together to go to the Denali National Park Visitor Center to look at the displays and watch the movie.  We might not have gone, but they owed both of us money on the tickets for yesterday and for some reason we had to go to the Wilderness Access Center today to get our money owed to us.

I've been having some camera problems and today I took several pictures at the Visitor Center and most didn't end up on the SD Card.  Guess it's time to change cameras.  Luckily I have another camera, but it doesn't have as much zoom on it so I use the one that is now throwing craps.

We saw a moose standing in some trees eating some tree leaves today while leaving the park.

After we left the park, Bob suggested we eat lunch then go to some of the shops in Denali.  We ate at the Salmon Bake having their Halibut & Chips.  The building is very unlevel and I just thought it was made that way to add character but someone told the guys it was that way due to frost heaves.  It felt sturdy walking on the floors or I would have probably left, worrying that the building might fall in.

After lunch, we walked to and looked around many of the gift shops.

We, later, went back to the RV Park and just took it easy.  Later, we all sat outside for Happy Hour.

Tomorrow is travel day.

Have a good day!!!

  1. Living gives many retirees that freedom to emerge as extra energetic even as, at the identical time, at a fraction of the fee of traditional home ownership.
